One of the primary goals of our nomadic lifestyle is to chase favorable weather. While working a traditional job, the daily watercooler conversation often revolved around complaining about the weather – too hot, too cold, too wet, or too dry. We’ve started our journey in a different way, seeking out places with pleasant weather.
Our first stop was Bryce Mountain Sky and Golf Resort in Southwest Virginia. The resort received its first snowfall while we were there, making it a great place for beginner skiers. The golf course was also in excellent condition, offering a round of 18 holes with a cart for just $35. Nearby, we found a small fly-in community and the beautiful hiking trails of Seven Bends State Park.
One dusting of snow was enough to convince us it was time to move to warmer weather. With the snow behind us, we headed south towards Florida.
