Our lives are filled with community clusters – colleagues, parent groups, church groups, and clubs. These interactions create a sense of belonging, linked to better health and psychological adjustment. Traveling has shown us ways to find these connections. Attending local church services has been a rewarding way to integrate into temporary communities.
We’ve been in Saint Augustine, Florida, for two weeks and have had enriching worship experiences. Last week, Family Church’s (https://familychurch.social/) energetic pastor delivered impactful teachings. Yesterday, Anchor Faith Church (https://anchorfaith.com/), housed in a repurposed mall, offered a charismatic service with a biblically based sermon. We’re grateful for the welcoming love we felt at both churches, truly seeing the love of Christ at work in Saint Augustine.
