Sharing Faith: Insights from Burke Community Church Service

Burke, Fairfax, Virginia. December 29, 2024.

We worshiped today at Burke Community Church in Fairfax, Virginia. Burke Community Church is a vibrant community with solid Bible teachings. Visiting churches and worshiping with Christians around the world is an integral part of our nomadic travel life.

There is so much to experience when visiting churches for worship services—different messages, delivery methods, customs and rituals, and music. It is truly enriching. In the book of John, chapter 13, verse 35, it states: “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

We deeply appreciate seeing this verse manifested in the Christians around us. They smile, hug, and comfort each other—this is the essence of a Christian church. Burke Community Church exemplifies this beautifully. The people there are warm, welcoming, and loving toward one another.

Pastor Marty Baker, who is extensively educated in theology with several doctorate degrees, delivers insightful messages. His sermon emphasized the responsibility we all have to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who have questions about our faith.

We felt personally convicted to be more active in sharing our faith and testifying about what Jesus Christ has done in our life. We hope this blog serves as one vehicle to do so, helping us become more vocal about my faith.  We have always lived by the mantra: Preach the gospel by living the gospel, and when necessary, speak the gospel.

We encourage you to visit Burke Community Church’s website to listen to their sermons. If you live in Fairfax, consider making it your church home.
