January 11-16, 2025, Antarctica Peninsula, Antarctica.
Antarctica cannot be described properly with any known language. We have spent the last five days cruising around the Antarctic Peninsula and Islands, surrounded by hundreds of whales, thousands of penguins swimming about and basking in the sun on the beaches and nearby icebergs. We have been in the most remote place in the world imaginable. Only 0.02 percent of the world’s population visits Antarctica, and we feel incredibly blessed to have been here for five days. So far, we have sailed the Strait of Magellan, the Beagle Channel, and crossed the Drake Passage – all to get here, and it was absolutely worth it!
