Glade Valley Golf Club: Stunning Views and Affordable Play

March 27, 2025. Woodsboro, Maryland.

Today, we played the beautiful Glade Valley Golf Club. Located approximately 60 miles northwest of our nation’s capital, Glade Valley is nestled in a valley surrounded by farms. The course is near the small town of Woodsboro, Maryland, which had a population of 1,092 according to the 2020 U.S. Census. The course was in excellent condition and offered stunning views of the surrounding farmland, with the Appalachian Mountains in the background. We had perfect weather, and we were joined in our round by Bill, a patient and avid golfer.

The golf cart was in immaculate condition—almost new—and was equipped with a GPS system that provided detailed information about the course, the greens, and the pace of play. The course also provided a comprehensive course book, which offered valuable details about each hole before teeing off.

We had a great experience at the course. It’s easy to play, with few hazards and plenty of open spaces, but even from the white tees, it stretches to 6,400 yards, favoring longer hitters. The green fees, including the cart, were very reasonable, and we certainly look forward to playing here again.
