Exploring the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee

May 25, 2025. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Day 4 of 170.

We visited the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was the perfect afternoon after church, so we decided to head downtown and explore this iconic museum. The museum houses an extensive collection of motorcycles, spanning 120 years of production, offering a fascinating journey through the brand’s rich history. From its humble beginnings in 1903 when William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson built their first motorized bicycle in a small shed, to its rise as a global icon of American manufacturing and rebellion, the museum showcases the evolution of these legendary machines. Visitors can trace the development from early single-cylinder models to the powerful V-twin engines that became synonymous with the Harley-Davidson name, witnessing how the company navigated economic shifts, world wars, and changing motorcycle trends to remain a dominant force. We had a great time exploring the exhibits and the hundreds of motorcycles on display, each telling a piece of this remarkable story.

Museum entrance is $25 for adults and $11 for children, and we found it to be a good value for the experience. It’s definitely a great activity when visiting Milwaukee.
