Four Itchy Feet

October 23, 2025. Triangle, Virginia.

Just a few weeks ago, we played golf at the Highlands course in Missoula, enjoying a perfect fall golf day. We were lucky enough to repeat that wonderful experience this week, this time in Triangle, Virginia. This area is only a few miles from Quantico, home to the “Crossroads of the Marine Corps,” the site where virtually all U.S. Marine Corps officers begin their careers at the Officer Candidates School (OCS) and The Basic School (TBS). Quantico is also home to the FBI Academy, the primary training and research center for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

We returned to Forest Greens Golf Club. This course is always busy as it is highly regarded as one of the best public courses in Northern Virginia. It is owned by the Prince William County Park Authority, which helps keep the course accessible and in great condition.

We had a wonderful time and the course was in excellent shape. We were blessed with perfect weather, and the beautiful fall colors all around us made for a truly scenic and memorable round.
